The more, the merrier: A Club and Runway Christmas 2019December 12, 2019
Christmas is always a time to be merry. This 2019, it was made even more special for Whiteport Inc. employees as it was celebrated in the company of the bigger DDT Group of Companies family—which only meant more fun, more energy and more excitement.
A total of around 1,500 employees from Whiteport, DDT Konstract Inc., DataLand Inc., DATAJ Aquafarm Inc., Agriwaras Inc. and Andres P. Tamayo Sr. Foundation Inc. all gathered last December 12 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City to enjoy a wonderful Club and Runway Christmas.
The event was hosted by an engaging group of representatives from three of the companies—DDT Konstract’s HR and Admin Manager Santiago R. Mersado Jr. and HR Officer for Internal Communications Maria Cristina C. Lascano; Whiteport’s Assistant to the Integrated Management Representative Arnold P. Dacumos and HR Officer for Training and Development Karen Jane A. Magtibay; and DataLand’s HR and Admin Manager Clyde S. Cipriano and Sales head Cheryl D. Higino.
The theme required attendees to come in their most elegant and attractive party attire, matched with an enthusiastic attitude in participating in the annual tradition of friendly competition among the group’s companies.
Each group was assigned a theme that they had to interpret by showcasing their talents in performing. For the Visayas Mindanao project of DDT and Whiteport, the theme was “Flamboyant” while the Whiteport head office and projects team was assigned the theme “Vintage.” The DDT projects group was challenged with the theme “Artsy” while DDT head office and strategic business unit went with the theme “Boho Chic.” Last but not the least, DataLand was assigned the theme “Rocker.”
Judging was tough and was carried out by DJ Arthur Tselishchev, who was also the guest entertainer for the night, together with other special guests: events manager, inspiration speaker and training workshop facilitator Ellen Perez; and professional dancer Anjo Rafael Amoroso who is a member of Manila’s popular and premier dance groups, The Hotlegs.
The Whiteport head office and projects team emerged as the overall winner with their exceptional vocals, dance steps and costumes. Everyone went home a winner, thanks to the generosity of the DDT Group’s management in giving out thousands of pesos in raffle prizes and cash prizes for the group performances.
Before the night ended, 127 loyal employees were recognized in the annual service awards. DDT Group Chairman and President Engr. Danilo D. Tamayo also imparted inspiring words that served to conclude the event. Everybody danced the night away to the club beats of guest musical performer DJ Arthur Tselishchev.
