Whiteport Inc. (WPI) held its team building session last May 5 to 6, 2017 at Stilts Beach Resort in Calatagan, Batangas, with the theme: “Rebuild and Rejoice.” The event aimed to develop the leadership skills of WPI employees as well as to empower and enable each individual to create a positive and productive work environment.
The participants were comprised of staff and employees of WPI’s various project sites, such as the BDO project, Citadines Bay project, 100 West project, 81 Newport project, Torre Central project, Robinsons Place Tuguegarao project, Biopolis project, the office development project as well as staff from the head office. The employees were divided into five groups.
The first day was dedicated to team building activities under the facilitation of Bro. Joemar Salumbides of Couples for Christ, with games such as group cheering, flag presentation, neuro-linguistic programing, chopstick relay, thin ice trivia, paper pyramid, tug-a-boat and “potato pooper.”
In the evening, a fellowship night was held with a Coachella theme, hosted by Arman Kalaw of the WPI engineering department and Karen Magtibay of the HR department. The festivities were kicked off with an inspiring opening message from WPI general manager Engr. Edimar L. Ulep as well as some words from WPI president Engr. Danilo D. Tamayo.
The highlight of the event was an exciting Mr. and Ms. WPI pageant, and the announcement of the winners of the morning activities. Afterward, everybody let their hair down and enjoyed the rest of the evening with music and partying.
The second day was also a free day for the employees to enjoy the venue and bond with each other before heading back to the challenges and excitement of daily work at WPI.
